A286 Bars and Rods are manufactured from iron-nickel-chromium-based superalloys, made up of about 25% nickel, 15% chromium, 2% titanium, 1.3% molybdenum, plus trace amounts of vanadium and boron. This unique composition provides outstanding resistance to oxidation and corrosion, as well as significant strength under high-temperature conditions. Regarding mechanical properties, A286 delivers a tensile strength of roughly 1000 MPa and a yield strength of about 620 MPa after age hardening. It also retains good ductility, creep resistance, and excellent fabricability, which makes it a favored material for uses requiring both strength and heat resistance.
