That said, it does include small proportions of copper in the range of 0.05-0.2%, iron 0.95%, silicon 0.25%, manganese 0.05-0.2%, magnesium 0.05%, and zinc 0.1%. This composition ensures excellent corrosion resistance, together with high thermal and electrical conductivity and good workability. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 110-180 MPa, a yield strength of 70 MPa, and an elongation of 30-40%. Its Brinell hardness is 30-35 HB. It is well suited for applications requiring high formability and good corrosion resistance but where less strength is preferable than with other alloys.
