Aluminium 1050 is a commercially pure grade that features 99.5% aluminium, together with small quantities of iron (0.4%) and silicon (0.25%). This material stands out for its excellent corrosion resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and remarkable ductility. It generally exhibits a tensile strength between 60 and 100 MPa, a yield strength of roughly 20 to 50 MPa, and elongation of up to 35%, depending on the temper. Although it isn’t as strong as certain other alloys, Aluminium 1050 is readily cold-worked, forged, and welded, making it ideal for applications that call for high formability and an excellent surface finish.

Yes, stainless steel forgings work well for potable water applications thanks to their outstanding corrosion resistance, hygienic characteristics, and durability, delivering safe and long-lasting performance in water systems.
Yes, stainless steel forgings are perfect for structural uses, providing outstanding strength, corrosion resistance, and durability, which makes them well-suited for challenging environments and load-bearing structures.
Stainless steel forgings can indeed be welded. That said, correct welding methods, such as preheating and post-weld heat treatment, are needed to preserve their strength, resistance to corrosion, and overall integrity.
Aluminium 1050 forgings are commonly employed across industries that value strong corrosion resistance and excellent conductivity. Typical applications include heat exchangers, electrical conductors, reflectors, chemical processing equipment, food industry components, and architectural fittings. Its outstanding formability enables the production of forged shapes, rivets, brackets, and decorative hardware. What’s more, the alloy’s non-toxic characteristics and easy polishing make it an ideal option for food handling and packaging tools. On top of that, Aluminium 1050’s light weight and smooth surface finish are greatly appreciated in automotive, marine, and general fabrication industries, where both appearance and performance matter.
