Tantalum R05252 Bars and Rods consist mainly of tantalum, with a minor amount of tungsten (2.5%) added to improve strength and corrosion resistance. This alloy features a high melting point of 3017°C, together with excellent ductility and formability. It retains remarkable mechanical stability under high temperatures, with tensile strength ranging from 400 to 750 MPa depending on temper. Adding tungsten improves creep resistance and hardness while preserving ductility. Tantalum R05252 also delivers exceptional thermal conductivity and chemical inertness, making it ideal for demanding environments such as strong acids and high-temperature applications.
