Alloy Steel AISI 8630 Bars and Rods consist of Nickel (0.4–0.7%), Chromium (0.4–0.6%), Molybdenum (0.15–0.25%), Carbon (0.28–0.33%), Manganese (0.75–1.0%), and Silicon (0.15–0.35%), together with small quantities of Sulfur and Phosphorus. These components give it remarkable hardenability, strength, and toughness. Regarding mechanical characteristics, AISI 8630 displays a tensile strength between 850 and 1000 MPa, a yield strength of roughly 650 MPa, and solid impact resistance, even at lower temperatures. It also provides outstanding machinability and weldability once properly heat treated, which makes it a great option for challenging engineering and mechanical uses.
